Charlestown Electorate Community Building Partnership Grant Recipients

Late last year I was pleased to give 13 local groups an early Christmas present by letting them know that they had been successful in their application for funding under the Community Building Partnership program. I invited all the successful applicants to a morning tea at which they discussed the projects and the impact those projects will have in making Charlestown an even better place to live and to visit.

Some of the successful projects include a new shed for the Glenrock Scout Camp, a new classroom at the Birralee Long Day Care Centre, an irrigation system at Lisle Carr Oval at Whitebridge, community toilet facilities at Nine Mile Beach, fitness equipment on the Fernleigh Track, disability access at the Dudley Redhead junior soccer club, perimeter fencing at Kahibah football fields, and resurfacing of fields at the Cardiff Junior Soccer Club. I commend all those local groups for their positive impact in the Charlestown community.
