Media Release: TIME HAS RUN OUT FOR HILLSBROUGH ROAD

Member for Charlestown, Jodie Harrison today inspected the notorious Hillsborough Road calling on the Baird Government to stop putting lives at risk, stop their excuses and just fix the problem.

The inspection came following the death of 15 year old school girl, Jade Frith, after she was hit by a car trying to cross the road to get to swimming training.

The students from nearby Warners Bay High risk their lives every day, crossing this intersection to get to and from school.

One of the business roads and a choke point for traffic, the Baird Government has continually ignored called from local residents to address the traffic and safety issues associated with the stretch road.
