FREE TRAVEL FOR CHILDREN ON THE OPAL NETWORK

Notes thatthroughout the year, a number of families in the Charlestown electorate have had their appeals for subsidised School Opal Cards for their children rejected.
Notes these young children are expected to walk long distances along dangerous and unsafe roads to get to school.
Notes the Government's outdated school student transport scheme which does not take into account local conditions when issuing cards.

Welcomesthe Opposition'spolicy to give all school aged children free public transport on the Opal card network.
