LABOR LOVES LOCAL LIBRARIES

06 June 2018

I give notice that on the next sitting day I will move that this House:

Notes that last Parliamentary sitting week was Library and Information week, which highlighted the vital role libraries play in our community, work and personal life.
Notes that currently, NSW has the lowest per capita investment by a State government in libraries in Australia.
Condemns this Government for not providing adequate funding for Charlestown, Windale, Adamstown and Redhead community libraries, all of which are within my electorate and are in desperate need of a funding injection.
Notes Labors commitment to increase overall funding to all suburban and regional NSW public libraries by $50 million.
