VIDEO: Jodie Recognises Redhead Children's University Graduates in Parliament

12 November 2019

This evening I gave a Community Recognition Statement bringing to the attention of Parliament the recent Children's University Graduation which included seventeen students from Redhead Public School. This is what I said:

I recognise and celebrate the achievements of the 1,936 studemnts from 57 schools, who have participated in the Childrens University in New South Wales this year. From the Hunter, Central Coast and Mid-North Coast participants have been engaged in creative learning outside of the classroom through the program.

I recently had the privilege of attending the Graduation Ceremony of the Childrens University at which the learning of seventeen students from Redhead Public School, in my electorate of Charlestown, was recognised. The graduates were: Amber Buttenshaw, Elyse Buttenshaw, Isla Clark, Callie Donald, Zane Hepple, Sophie Milford, Amelia Bowron, Helayna Butler, Charli Cummings, Anwen Evans, Mackenzie Little, Phillipa Norris, Olive Stephens, Macy Unwin, Anna Schwander, Scarlett Hadden, and Molly Daly.

Australia needs minds that never stop questioning, and brains that keep exploring possibilities. I celebrate the achievements of these active learners and I wish them well for the future.
